Here is a hand made crochet red and black hat. Inspired by the orisha Elegba, also known as Elegbara. He is the Orisha of the Crossroads, and the Divine Messengers. I made these playing one of his favorite numbers ’3′ in circles of black and red.

This hat will fit a young teenager or a petite woman’s head circumference. It can be worn as a beret, or kept straight and it will form a crown shape.

This gorgeous pair of earrings is a gorgeous complement to any outfit. It is made with African glass beads (light blue one) and the moon is made of Lapis Lazuli stone. This inspired set came from the shiny particles in the Lapis Lazuli, and it just made me think of a shiny blue moon. The earrings are handmade with wirework links, and glass beads.

This beautiful set of earrings comes with a fusion of African handmade beads and Asian beads.  I got the upper pink beads in a breakfast at the New York Women’s Foundation.  African women were brought to the US to let us know how by them learning and teaching each other how to make beaded jewelry, they were able to overcome many obstacles in their lives. It is said that the riches of the world are unknown, because we do not know what lies at the bottom of the sea.  Maferefun to the Orisha of the Oceans, Maferefun to Yemonja!  This set was created with waves of inspiration.  The glory beads are all different with different markings, just like the sea.  The sea is constant but never the same.  The blue large beads are lapiz lazuli beads, and the white large beads are coral beads.  The smaller beads are all glass beads, and the beauty of these beads lie in how these beads together make such a beautiful and elegant set.

I love sitting and looking at the sea.  No matter how much you try, no two waves are exactly the same. When I found these beads, I just had to have them as they convey the same message.  The markings on each of the beads is different and yet beautiful.  I then sat down to create something unique and yet beautiful.

This colorful checkered hat was loom knit with a lot of love.  This hat is made with a tight stitch which is bound to keep you warm during the winter.  it has two points, which can be worn either with the points facing the front and back, or facing the sides.  The hat fits most adult head circumferences, and will fit a teen’s head equally comfortably.  This was knit with a 100% wool yarn.

This wonderful hat and scarf set was made with Turquoise colored 100% wool.  The hat and scarf were hand knit on two needles.  The hat is very stretchy, and will provide warmth as well as a splash of color.   Note that this hat can be easily used for a woman or a teenager.  Due to the give of the hat, it fits most ladies’ head circumferences. 

The scarf is 49 1/2 inches long not counting the tassles and with the tassles it is 57 inches long.  The scarf is 4 3/4 inches wide.  This is a great looking skinny scarf, with a huge splash of color and with the benefits of 100% wool.
