Role of Female Power in Yoruba Spirituality Event

When  Aladokun of Sacred Me Pendants spoke to me on the possibility to showcase my Orisha Inspired Jewelry at a Yoruba Female Orisha Power event, I thought that this would be a great event to be associated with.  When I found out that this event was being put together by MK of OrishaGifts.com… I said ‘absolutely’.

This past Sunday the spoken event took place, and it was wonderful as it was an intimate learning space with John Mason, as he discussed Nine Orisha and their roles, and Power – as well on how we can learn from them to improve our lives.

For those who are not familiar with what Orisha is… I can compare Orisha in Christian terms to God’s Angels.  The Yoruba people believe in one god who is named Olodumare, and Olodumare has given the task of helping us humans here on Earth to Orisha.  Each Orisha is given a purpose, and powers to help to assist humans with their lives.  This event discussed the Female Orisha and how they can relate to our lives, how we can tap into that power.

Female Power?  Great event!  Why not!  I’m all about Empowerment…. so it was a pleasure to participate in the showcase of Olubunmi Creations handcrafted works along with Sacred Me Pendants, and with orishagifts.com.  Here are some pictures!  Enjoy!

NOTE: Currently MK is having her website re-done, and I will update this post once it’s up and running.

Here are pictures from some of the new things from MK of Orishagifts.com.
